Assessment

Aside from initial consultation, we provide a thorough level of care assessment for clients struggling with eating disorders or other mental health issues. A Level of Care Assessment (LOCA) can help individuals and families determine the appropriate level of care for a client at the right time. During this assessment, symptomatology and severity are explored and strategies for differential diagnosis and assessment for level of care appropriateness are reviewed. If a higher level of care is indicated, we will help facilitate next steps through providing referrals. Additionally, resources for individuals with severe mental health needs are provided.

Intervention

An eating disorder intervention may be necessary when your loved one suffering may be reluctant to seek help or to even talk about the illness. Identification and treatment improve the speed of recovery, reduce symptoms and decrease likelihood of relapse (Lock, Agras, Bryson, & Kraemer, 2005). Family members are a critical part of the recovery process and require change in their behaviors and boundaries to provide strong support. We are here to support family members approach their loved one respectfully while acknowledging their eating disorder’s impact. We will identify and facilitate the most appropriate referral depending on the severity and treatment history.
